ABOUT SYSTEMA

What is Systema

Systema (Система, literally meaning The System) is a Russian martial art. The training includes a variety of skills ranging from: hand-to-hand combat, grappling, knife fighting, stick fighting and fire-arms training. Training involves both fixed, semi and free flow drills in order to imitate the real world environment. This is done through the use of leverage and pressure point techniques along with striking, kicking and weapon applications. Training is carried out both in the gym and outside on natural surfaces.
